SignTools Ver. 2 Trouble Shooting

(For SignTools 3 Trouble Shooting)
* PLEASE REFER TO YOUR SIGNTOOLS 3 MANUAL FOR THE PROPER INSTALLATION PROCEEDURES
* SignTools3 runs from WITHIN CorelDRAW using the APPLICATION LAUNCHER on the CorelDRAW Tool Bar.
Open CorelDRAW and click on the Application Launcher menu, then click on SignTools 3 to run it.
Be sure to SET-UP the plotter parameters (see the SignTools manual for details)
* Most problems are due to IMPROPER INSTALLATION & IMPROPER PLOTTER SET-UP.

2 Trouble Shooting
Missing SignTools Menu in
CorelDRAW with Windows NT and Windows 2000
SignTools 2 in its current form does
not support Windows NT or 2000, HOWEVER...SignTools will install on both
operating systems but the menu configuration and shortcuts files are placed into the
wrong directory. There is a simple workaround
below.
THESE CHANGES ARE FOR USERS OF
SignTools 2 ONLY
CorelDRAW
8
-----> FOR Windows NT ONLY <------
1) Close CorelDRAW8
2) Install SignTools
3) For each user configured on your system, copy the following directory
and all of it's contents to the user in question:
X:\<install directory>\Graphics8\Workspace\CorelDRAW8
To
X:\WINNT\Profiles\<username>\Application Data\Corel\CorelDRAW8\CorelDRAW8
Where:
i) X is the drive in question
ii) <install directory> is the directory CorelDRAW8 has been installed to
iii) <username> is the logon username (eg jsmith or Administrator)
EXAMPLE, FOR:
DRIVE: C
INSTALL DIRECTORY: C:\Program Files
USERNAME: jsmith
Copy
C:\Corel\Graphics8\Workspace\CorelDRAW8
To
C:\WINNT\Profiles\jsmith\Application Data\Corel\CorelDRAW8\CorelDRAW8
4) Open CorelDRAW8, you should now see the SignTools menu.
CorelDRAW 8
-----> For Windows 2000 <------
1) Close CorelDRAW8
2) Install SignTools
3) For each user configured on your system, copy the following directory
and all of it's contents to the user in question:
X:\<install directory>\Graphics8\Workspace\CorelDRAW8
To
X:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
Data\Corel\CorelDRAW8\CorelDRAW8
Where:
i) X is the drive in question
ii) <install directory> is the directory CorelDRAW8 has been installed to
iii) <username> is the logon username (eg jsmith or Administrator)
EXAMPLE, FOR:

2) Install SignTools
