CUTTING WITH SignTools

With SignTools 3 it is easy to cut from CorelDraw. Unlike other Corel add-ons, the SignTools program doesn't open another window from which you cut.

SignTools runs from within CorelDRAW.

There is no need for a cut preview window because it works on the WYSIWYG ( What You See Is What You Get ) principal.

You simply design you graphics, move them to the bottom left of your CorelDraw page and click on the Cut button.

You can choose All Objects OR Selected Objects Only !. You can design in full color and it is not necessary to place hairline outlines on your objects!

Time Saving Productivity Tools

Another quality tool in version 2 of SignTools is the Select By Color tool.

This tool scans a document for all the fill colors, separates them and places each individual color on a different page with registration marks and weed boxes.

SignTools CUT Settings

The SignTools 3 Cut Settings dialog box makes setting up as easy as 1...2...3.

1. Choose your cutter from a drop down Plotter List containing 250 cutter plotters as well as generic HP-GL drivers if your cutter is not listed.
2. Choose your port. Serial COM Port or Parallel LPT Port

3. If you are using a Serial (Com) port, click on the Properties button and configure the port.

For cutters that are on a networked system, the SignTools 3 User Guide contains instructions to help you with setting up shared cutters.

With both the Cut and Cut Settings dialog boxes, we have endeavored to make it as simple as possible without cluttering them up with too many options.

SignTools already contains all of the tools and options you may require for cutting such as Weedbox, Multicopy, Registration Marks, Color Separator and Vinyl Saver.

After more than 3 years of research and customer feedback we decided to keep these tools separate from the Cut tool. This gives you much more flexibility and an easier user interface without complicating the task of cutting.

You can setup SignTools3 for Metric or Inches operation or switch between the two.
